I have studied Economics at the University of Manchester and the Goethe-University of Frankfurt where I also received my PhD in April 2005. From January 2005 until July 2007 I worked as a senior research associate at the DIW in Berlin, before I became a senior research associate at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn and Deputy Program Director for the research area Evaluation of Labor Market Programs. In February 2009 I became Director of Research at IZA.
