I have studied Economics at the University of Manchester and the Goethe-University of Frankfurt where I also received my PhD in April 2005. From January 2005 until January 2009 I worked as a senior research associate at the DIW in Berlin and the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn. From February 2009 until September 2011 I was the Director of Research at IZA.

Since October 2011 I am Professor of Empirical Economics at the University of Potsdam and Program Director for the research area Evaluation of Labor Market Programs at IZA. On the next pages you will find some information about me (CV), my research interests/work in progress and my publications.
